Nathan Wolliston for State Senate

PASSION · PRESENCE · PURPOSE

Meet Nathan
My name is Nathan Wolliston. I am a husband and a father to my one-year-old daughter, a lifelong Hartford County resident, and a member of the Board of Education in Windsor. I am running for State Senate because I’m tired of the lack of representation we have had in Hartford from our current Senator, and I know that we can do better.
Meet Nathan
I have served on the Windsor Board of Education for over four years, and I am a proud graduate of the Windsor public schools. I’ve worked at Weaver High School as a family support service provider, and with students with developmental disabilities. I’ve also worked for the State Legislature in the past, so trust me when I say, I know how things get done at the capitol.

My wife and I raise our one-year-old in our house in Windsor, where we also attend Living Word Empowerment Ministries. When not working or fighting for our education system, I like to spend my time making music, especially playing the guitar.

Affordability and Opportunity for All

Reducing reliance on property taxes through education cost-share improvements, ensuring towns can maintain and improve services without pricing people out of their communities. Preventing tax increases on working and middle class families through smarter and fairer taxation and spending.

Responsive Representation

This won’t be something that starts when I get elected, it starts today. I want to hear right away how the State could be helping make your life better. Every town needs to feel heard. We need leadership that creates town halls for every town in this district, and to not just focus on one group's needs over another. No community or town is too small to deserve representation in Hartford. Let’s replace complacent, party-first leadership with a State Senator who listens and acts on behalf of all people.

Stronger Public Education System

Expanding education cost-share grants to support schools in our district that can’t continue to rely on property tax increases. Give our towns the tools it needs to make improvements to our schools, instead of unfunded mandates.
